![]() I think they're both beautiful in different ways but I'm not gonna lie, the smiles in Sims 4 irritate the pee out of me. I remember so many families in 2 & 3 that I started with a clear idea of how I wanted their lives to go, but then the little buggers had other ideas and I went along for the ride with them.Įdit: because I am bad at proofreading (and by that, I mean, I just didn’t) ![]() They didn’t drive gameplay or give my sims a better personality or clue me in to who my sims were/wanted to be in any way. In 4, I can start with those same first steps and then… dig up a treasure chest… tell a joke… catch a fish… tell a funny story… harvest a wild plant - all for the payoff of, what? 25 pts of lifetime happiness? Honestly, I don’t even know I just know that I’ve turned off whims because they were useless to me. In 3 (and 2, as well), I felt like I could take Step 1 (find a job, go to Uni, whatever) and then the sim’s wants would take over. ![]() The whim system in 4 always - always - felt broken to me. I can’t get emotionally attached to sims in 4 because my only role in their life is grinding their skills and forcing milestones on them. ![]()
